SEK a.k.a. SOUTH EAST KID is the true bridge between the original form of signature graffiti writing practiced in the south side, and the mid-80s emergence of the graffiti art movement in DC. He began his career as GO-GO FASE a name that he wrote in the traditional signature style, soon however he was inspired by HOA to begin painting in the NYC-based graffiti art style.

His transition into painting pieces serves as one of a handful of examples of writers from South East continuing to move with the culture's evolution. His presence in the city for over three decades makes him the Triple OG, his passion for the craft has helped to make HOA one of the longest-running crews in DC.
